Caricature of a man who worked at Starbucks

A customer contacted me about getting a caricature gift for a man who was a worker  at Starbucks and who, after a couple of years diligent work, was leaving.

This guy was evidently a great employee, had a bit of fun attitude and so they wanted to provide a leaving gift that would remind him of his days at Starbucks.

The resulting caricature art of this Starbucks guy is the gift they gave. What a great idea….and all we needed was a photo to create this custom art gift.

Art by caricaturist  Harry who can do work for you too!

Caricature of Alligator man of the bayou

Here is a fun caricature by Keimo, based loosely on the Paul Hogan character Crocodile Dundee.

In this case the customer provided the background image  of a bayou for the art  of the man in an alligator skin jacket to sit on perfectly!

Keimo’s art is notable for its great rendering, and levels of exaggeration, though this example is probably the least exaggerated of what he does. While not completely evident in this example, there is great aspects of deatil, like the smoke from the cigarette, the patterning of the jacket and the detail in they eys.  See more of Keimo’s works here

Caricatures for your car

In some localities it is possible to have a custom plate displayed on the front of your car.

Here is an example of a plate with art by artist George.

If you have pimped your ride, why not think of a caricature as the finishing touch!

Caricatures for a T-shirt

Going to a concert featuring your favorite musicians? What better item to wear than a t-shirt featuring their likeness/s.

Here is a great example of this in a cartoony style. Clean lines to keep the printer happy. If you are really good you will be able to name these three US artists :)

Almost a century of winning art

The winners of the Archibald Prize (a major art prize in Australia) from 1921 to 2013

Interesting seeing the changing styles over time. To items of note:

1. How few women are featured

2. These pieces are worth tens of thousands of dollars. In many cases you can get equally beautiful work on  Caricature King for less than a hundred bucks….
