As you can see from this image, caricature does not have to be about distortion – it can be more like art capturing a moment in a way not possible with a camera. The original photo of this moment was poor quality, the exposure was bad and small. But by using a couple more photos of each of the subjects, the artist was able to do what a photo could not……

Artist George is our original artist, having been with us since 2005. As you can see from the samples below he has a totally unique style – in the past decade I’ve not seen anyone else’s art style like his.
While the caricature style is leaning towards the realistic, there are subtle aspects that make the style quirky, yet still kind to the subject and so appealing for use as gifts for a wide range of gifting opportunities.
As you can see his output ranges from head and shoulders to full body with props (and backgrounds, though not seen here.

Here is a fun group caricature created for a repeat customer.
Featuring 15 guys to mark a celebration in a footy bet this group caricature art proposal was faced with a challenge.
With so many people costs soon mount up when looking at full bodies for each, we worked with the client to explore ways of reigning in the price for the art without reducing the number of people.
The art had to have a water-based theme, as the guy from the losing bet had to be holding a fish and an anchor needed to also feature.
Through collaboration and swapping of ideas with the client, we finally agreed on the submarine as a way of having quite a few of the group as head and shoulders, while the key players were half and full bodies.
The client was able to provide some great photos for the caricature to be drawn from that is always welcomed.
As you will see the result is a cool and innovative piece of mildly caricatured artwork that will be treasure for years to come!

Often caricatures are ordered with the intention of having them printed nicely and perhaps even framed or printed onto canvas. These are great ideas and we have many happy customers.
However there is almost a subculture out there who know the fun that can be had from using the caricature a little differently. In this case, putting it on a t-shirt for the special person to wear (or in some cases a whole bunch of people if a buck’s party of a boy’s ‘road trip’
Here is a great example of one used for a birthday event and some earlier ones. Very cool and funny – perfect for the occasion!
