Here is a fun caricature by artist Brian that celebrates the work of an employee who is getting a Rep of the Year Award.

After going through the draft process, during which one small change was made, this is the final product. Of course other than being placed in a frame, something like this also works really well on a coffee mug as a daily celebration!!

I was in the USA recently and one thing struck me about California – warnings…..

Everything seemed to have a warning notice posted to it. I guess in the most litigious state in the most litigious nation it is the be expected.

So I thought it only fair to post a warning about our caricatures. Here goes:

WARNING – CARICATURES

You are advised that the ordering and presentation of a caricature as a gift in whatever form that features the person or persons for whom the gift is intended is likely to cause many of the following effects:

• Laughter
• Joy
• Happiness
• A feeling of goodwill from the recipient towards the giver as an individual or group
• Look of amazement on the face of the recipient
• Cheers and clapping amongst the group

This client wanted to have the caricature look like it was a clipping from an old wild west newspaper.

The ‘victim’ is a school teacher who held old fashioned values, and many students (and I suppose some staff) probably thought his attitudes were old – like circa 1880, so the decision was made to play on this.

The result, I think you will agree is pretty special. This is a full body with background in BW, plus a slight premium for that amazing detailing.
