Using an avatar to represent your persona, which while it may be close to your real looks still provides a degree of identity protection is a great way to show yourself online.
With social media profile photos often embarrassingly poor, and therefore showing people who you are in less than a desirable light, the case for using a custom caricature as an avatar is quite strong.
Here we show the process, from photo to final art as done by artist Brian who also does other caricature work

Step 1 - Photo

Step 2 - pencil sketch

Step 3 - final avatar

Avatars for blogs, facebook and other social media as well as websites is an area of growing popularity.
While some people do not want their real face gracing the screens of millions around the world, then the next best option is a realistic caricature for avatar/id use.
Here is a great example from artist Brian. See more custom created avatars here

We had a caricature order the other day that was inspired by one of the trainers on Australia’s Biggest Loser – Emazon. The customer has completed one of her training courses and wanted a graphic approach caricature that she could use as a desktop on her computer plus other uses.
Part of the instruction (thanks for the great instructions Lauren
) included showing the “unleashing of your inner goddess, allowing your inner goddess to be free and spread her wings”.
So here is the result from artist Brian.
The client’s response?
“She’s beautiful!!! Can you please pass on my thanks to Brian, I am really really really happy with it and I will be showing all the girls that did the Emazon workshop with me.
So caricatures can be used for a wide range of applications – do you have something?

In addition to the style shown on Brian’s samples page, he also does a more graphic style as well.
If you like this style more, please mention this when ordering. (Click images for larger view.)

Here is a fun caricature completed by artist Brian. The brief was for the girl to be in the stykle of a popular anime character.
Brian created a draft and then some adjustments based on the clients viewing their original specifications and how they worked together brought about this great anime style caricature.

If you are wanting any sort of art created, we have an artist who can do the job! We also do book covers, chapter illustrations, posters and more!
