This client wanted to have the caricature look like it was a clipping from an old wild west newspaper.
The ‘victim’ is a school teacher who held old fashioned values, and many students (and I suppose some staff) probably thought his attitudes were old - like circa 1880, so the decision was made to play on this.
The result, I think you will agree is pretty special. This is a full body with background in BW, plus a slight premium for that amazing detailing.

Here is a job from Roy that will be used as a gift for the wedding couple. Its shows them at a favorite hobby and portrays their professions - both engineers, one chemical engineer the other an industrial engineer.
The print size is 14×10 inch and a 3 inch mat for signing. The print is delivered framed but in a way that allows the glass to be easily removed for the signing and then replaced.

If you are after an amazing keepsake gift, a caricature in a frame signed by friends or colleagues is a wonderful lasting keepsake.
We can do special framing sizes and any mat width you need.

Families are great groups of people to caricaturise. There is something about the relationships that is just that bit different to even really close friends, and this is well expressed in a family caricature.
Here is an example of a family caricature completed by Roy a while ago. Roy colours his caricatures by hand, which shows in the example here. This a allows a more natural look that works really well when the caricature is printed on textured or a natural paper.
This is one of several photos supplied:

And here they are as interpreted by Roy

Have a look at this great caricature by artist Roy. It shows just how much can be said in a caricature image - truly a picture says a thousand words. The subject of this caricature was an ideas man (like me!) with lots of great business ideas.

The aspect I would like to highlight here is that even a seemingly conservative image, even in black and white can convey huge amounts to the viewer. This caricature was supplied framed.
Comments are always welcome

We have clients who like a more portrait approach to their gifts, and artist Roy does amazing work. All hand coloured and scanned for final delivery, they are very popular for those who want a more natural approach.

Just a nice simple approach for a head and shoulders caricature as a gift.
